Hamerton Wildlife Park, near Huntingdon is an interesting little zoo. It displays many species I haven't seen elsewhere, and doesn't have a lot of the animals you would normally expect in a zoo. It's size restricts having any of the big animals, though it does appear to specialise in big cats and in birds.
It isn't the greatst zoo for a phoographer becuse of the amount of heavy mesh around many of the enclosures, but there are enough photo-oppurtunities to make it a wworthwhile visit from that point of view.
Most of the enclosures are spacious and well appointed, but for me ther are still too many that appear too small and inadequate. On the positive side, there appears to be a lot of development work going ahead around the site.
