Calke Abbey Car Park Hide 29th March 2017

Calke Abbey is one of the most intersting of the National Trusts Not-so-Stately homes. It also has a bird hide, easily mistaken for a garden shed, in the corner of the main car park. It looks out onto a clearing in the woods with some well stocked bird feeders and attracts large numbers of Tits, Finches and many others. Sit here for an hour and you will probably get good close views of at least 15 different species.
