Illuminated Barge Procession at Foxton Locks; 17th December 2016

There was an Illuminated Barge Event held at Foxton Locks on December 17th.

The event split into two main features... by the water the canal boats all brightly lit with Christmas Lights and a giant fiery Christmas Tree. In the field by the canal there were food and ber stalls, childrens rides and a music stage.

The day proved to be cold and misty, developing into a fairly thick fog by the end... but that created a wonderful atmosphere and made for a really good day.

Watermead Park: 14th December 2016

Watermead Park, on the edge of Leicester is a nature reserve as well as having facilities for sailing and fishing at one end. Always worth a visit at any time of the year, whether to walk, picnic just relax.

These images were all taken on a cold but sunny winters afternoon at the end of December, the images are all self explanatory and perhaps don't need captions
