Every year the Great Central Railway puts on a World War 2 weekend, recreating the era at the 4 stations. The event attracts a range of vintage vehicles, both military and civilian as well as lots of military re-enactors and civilians dressing the part. There are also usually two specific action displays - this year a military skirmish and an FPS "Putting out a fire" demonstration
