Leicester University Botanical Gardens 29th November 2016

Leicester University Botanical Gardens, in Oadby, are always beautifully maintained and worth visiting at any time of the year, there is always something of interest to look at.

I have little idea what different trees, plants and flowers are called, but do know that I like them

The first frost of the 2016/7 winter settled on a fallen leaf

Low evening sun shining on a tree

Slowly sinking sun shining through the trees

Evening sun shining on grasses

Even at the end of November there is colour in the Botanic Gardens, here highlighted by the low evening sun.

Frost on a ground covering plant in a shady corner of the Botanical Gardens

Some of the last surviving laves clinging to the tree

A carpet of fallen autumn leaves
